Understanding Your Public Website
Applies to:Owner, Admin
Every community gets a built-in, editable public website — a marketing-style site for visitors, prospective buyers, and anyone searching for your community online. It’s completely separate from the resident portal residents log into.
The basics
Section titled “The basics”- Your site lives at a free address:
{your-subdomain}.hoahub.site. You can also connect your own custom domain — see Connecting a Custom Domain. - It’s off by default. Nothing is visible to the public until you turn it on — see Turning On Your Website.
- Pages are built from blocks — modular sections you add, arrange, and edit without writing any code. See Building and Managing Pages and Working with Blocks.
- Some blocks can automatically pull in real content from your community — documents, events, and staff/board contacts. See Showing Live Content for how that works, and important privacy notes for the Contacts block.
- You control the look and feel — colors, fonts, header style, and overall width — from one Style page. See Customizing Your Site’s Style.
- Images are managed in a shared Media Library you can reuse across every block and page.
Who can manage it
Section titled “Who can manage it”Only Owners and Admins can access any part of the website builder — Board Members, Residents, and other roles have no access at all, even to view it.
