Understanding the Community Feed
The community feed is where your residents talk to each other: ask a question, share an update, post a photo of the new playground equipment. None of it turns into a request to the board or an email to everyone.
Where to find it
Section titled “Where to find it”The feed is the middle of your Home page, with the community cards alongside it. There’s no separate menu item, so log in and it’s there.
Posts also have a page of their own, which is where notification and digest links take you. Back to Home returns you to the feed.
Who can see it
Section titled “Who can see it”The feed is for current residents. A contact who isn’t a current resident of a property doesn’t see it at all, and their Home page shows the community cards on their own.
By default a post goes to every current resident. Admins can narrow it to one or more contact groups (Board Members, Welcome Committee, and so on), and then only people in those groups can see it. See Posting and Commenting.

Making a post reach everyone
Section titled “Making a post reach everyone”An ordinary post emails nobody. People see it the next time they open Home. Three things raise the volume, all from inside the feed:
- Mention
@everyone— notifies every resident who can see the post. Owners, Admins, and Board Members. See Mentioning people. - Post on behalf of the association — labels the post as coming from the association rather than from you personally. Owners, Admins, and Board Members. See Posting on behalf of the association.
- Pin the post — fixes it to the top of everyone’s feed until you unpin it. Owners and Admins. See Pinning a post.
When another tool fits better
Section titled “When another tool fits better”Even an @everyone post is still a conversation, and nobody is obliged to read it. Reach for something else when:
- everyone has to see it — post an Announcement banner or send a Broadcast email
- you need answers back — run a Survey
- it’s urgent and safety-related — send an Emergency SMS
Turning the feed on or off
Section titled “Turning the feed on or off”Go to HOA → Settings → Account tab and use the Community switch in the Features card. With it off:
- the feed disappears from everyone’s Home page
- nobody can post, comment, or react
- existing posts, comments, and reactions are kept, and come back untouched when you switch it on again
You’ll be asked to confirm before it goes off. Switching it back on takes effect immediately.
The profanity filter and automatic suspension live on the Community tab of the same page. See Moderating the Feed.
