Notifications and the Weekly Digest
Posting to the feed emails nobody. These are the things that do reach you:
| What happened | You get |
|---|---|
| Someone commented on your post | Notification + email |
| Someone commented on a post you’d also commented on | Notification + email |
Someone mentioned you with @ |
Notification + email |
Someone posted with @everyone |
Notification + email |
| Someone reacted to your post or comment | Notification only; reactions never email |
| A moderator removed your post or comment | Notification + email, with the reason |
| Your participation was suspended | Notification + email, with the reason and the end date |
| Someone reported content (Owners and Admins) | Notification + email |
Whether the email goes out depends on your notification preferences, below. The in-app notification always appears. Every notification links straight to the post it’s about.
The weekly digest
Section titled “The weekly digest”Monday morning, in your association’s timezone, HOA Hub emails you a summary of the previous seven days in the feed.
- A quiet week means no email; the digest only goes out when there’s something in it.
- You get up to five posts, each with the author, when it was posted, and a short excerpt, then “and N more” if the week was busier.
- Post titles link straight to the post, and there’s a link to the whole feed at the end.
- It’s filtered per person, so you only see posts you’d have been able to see in the feed anyway. Removed posts are left out.
- No digest goes out if your association has the Community feature turned off.
Changing what you receive
Section titled “Changing what you receive”Go to Profile → Preferences → Notifications and switch off the categories you don’t want by email. Feed activity spreads across three of them: direct mentions and replies, activity on things you follow, and announcements. Switch off all three to make the feed go completely quiet. See Your Profile.
Switching a category off stops the email only. The notification still appears in the app, so nothing is lost.
