Showing Live Content
Applies to:Owner, Admin
Some blocks don’t need content typed in — they automatically display real information from other parts of HOA Hub. Each one pulls from a specific opt-in setting elsewhere in the app, so nothing shows up publicly unless someone has explicitly marked it that way.
Documents (List and Grid blocks)
Section titled “Documents (List and Grid blocks)”The Documents List and Documents Grid blocks show documents that have been marked to appear on your public website.
- To make a document eligible, open it in Documents and turn on Show on public website under its Access settings
- In the block’s settings, choose how many to show, how to sort them (most recent or alphabetical), and optionally filter to specific tags
- Each document gets its own public page with its full title, description, and content — no sign-in required to view it
- If you later turn the toggle off (or delete the document), its public page disappears immediately
Document Directory
Section titled “Document Directory”The Document Directory block works differently — instead of an automatic feed, you hand-pick specific documents by name.
Events
Section titled “Events”The Events block shows upcoming events that have been marked to appear on your public website.
- To make an event eligible, turn on Show on public website when creating or editing it in Calendar
- Set how many days out to look (7 to 365 days, 90 by default) in the block’s settings
- Each event shows its name, date/time, and location if it has one
- If the event has an RSVP list, a link is shown — but RSVPing requires signing in, since the public site itself is read-only
Contacts
Section titled “Contacts”The Contacts block displays board members, staff, or other contacts by publishing an entire Contact Group at once.
In the block’s settings you can:
- Choose which contact group(s) to feature
- Turn Email and Role on or off (on by default) and Phone on or off (off by default) for the whole block
- Pin specific people to the top with a custom title using Featured members — this only changes ordering, it doesn’t hide anyone else in the group
